The book "Cases of Lucid Consciousness and Nonphysical Perception in Near-Death Experience (2020) (in Russian) introduces the reader to scientific research in the field of such an unusual phenomenon as working consciousness and clearly non-physical perception during NDE. If blood flow to the brain is interrupted, then the brain does not receive the necessary glucose and oxygen, and the neuron cannot maintain the membrane potential, which leads to the termination of neuronal function. During cardiac arrest, the entire brain is deprived of oxygen, resulting in loss of consciousness, reflexes, and breathing. This condition is called clinical death. This is a reversible stage of death, since a person can still be brought back to life with the help of timely resuscitation procedures within 5-10 minutes. And just at the time of clinical death, patients sometimes experience clear consciousness and non-physical perception and subsequently talk about the actions of surgeons in the operating room or about events outside the operating room. Such experience of consciousness has the same content elements regardless of age, nation, profession and time. The developed methodology for verifying the stories of reanimated patients confirms the veracity of the described events, which, in turn, indicates the existence of consciousness without a functioning brain. The book provides statistics on cases of clear consciousness and non-physical perception during clinical death, explains the method of verification of patient stories, describes the content elements and consequences of the experience.
The book "Neuroscience about the Power of Thought" (2020) (in Russian) introduces the reader to scientific research on the mental practices helping to treat humans. Neuroscience confirms that humans have the unique ability to regulate health through their thinking. Regulation can be carried out through constant mental activities in the area of interest to a person, through the state of creative flow, art therapy, belief in the divine, placebo effect, cognitive-behavioral therapy, directed imagination, meditation, hypnosis, mental healing. As a result of such practices, there is a change in the functioning of the brain, an improvement in its neurochemistry, neuropsychic state, immune system and the state of the whole organism. Mental energy turns into a powerful tool for saving a person from disease. All the necessary "drugs" are in our minds, our task is to learn how to extract and use them. However, thinking can also poison the body, causing illness. Art therapy, for example, synchronizes the functioning of the body's systems - nervous, immune, endocrine, sensory, visual and motor. The emotional background also changes. Such changes are necessary for the revival of the adaptation mechanism. Disorders in mental adaptation are neuroses, psychotic reactions and psychosomatic disorders.
The books "Brain, Mind and Society", 1 and 2 parts, Center for Interdisciplinary Science, St. Petersburg, 2012 (in Russian), were published in small edition. Some chapters are included in two new books "Neuroscience aabout the Power of Thought" (2020) and "Cases of Clear Consciousness in Near-Death Experience" (2020), the rest will be supplemented and republished this year.
